Position Summary:

Hornet is searching for an Ad Sales Account Manager rock star located in Singapore or adjacent region.  This Account Manager will be contacting local businesses within the assigned region, as well as securing regional advertising opportunities.  This exciting and challenging position will require identifying new advertising partners, establishing contracts with these partners, and maintaining current advertising partner relationships in a large geographic area. This individual must be highly organized to work in a company with team members across the globe all independently. Bonus points for previous experience in mobile, print or online media in the region.

This role is for an independent contractor. Attractive compensation is 100% commission based.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Bring our unique brand message to a fast growing marketplace
  • Make presentations to the biggest brands in the region growing advertising from clients
  • Connect on the local level with potential clients for advertising sales
  • Be able to promote Hornet and its various ad products in a clear, effective way
  • Maintain all aspects of client accounts on behalf of Hornet
  • Complete and utilize all tools provided by Hornet for contact management, invoicing and email
  • Prosper in a startup environment with lots of room to grow
  • Participate in weekly company calls.

Skills, Experience and Education:

A college degree in communication, advertising, marketing, or mass media is preferred but not required.

Sales experience and knowledge of advertising/marketing principles and concepts.

Looking for someone with proven success driving entire sales cycle.

Friendly and outgoing, with excellent communication skills (including writing and public speaking).

Ability to learn quickly and work well with others in a fast-paced, team environment.

Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments simultaneously under deadlines.

Ability to perform job responsibilities with little supervision.

Excellent customer service ethic and high quality of work.

Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.  

Fluent English and one or more regional language (Chinese, Bahasa, Thai)

Proficient with the latest versions of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and Google Docs. The applicant will preferably have an understanding and experience of the gay dating landscape and be a Hornet user.
